Azerbaijani president wishes Trump success, reaffirms support for partnership with US

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has wished US President Donald Trump continued success and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s support for his peace-focused agenda and vision for stronger bilateral ties.

“We wish him continued success in all his endeavors toward this goal,” President Aliyev wrote on his official X account, Caliber.Az reports.

The President also thanked Trump for sharing a clip of his remarks from the Shusha Global Media Forum on Trump’s social media platform, where the Azerbaijani leader highlighted the partnership between Baku and Washington and Trump’s commitment to a peace agenda - both globally and in the region. 

“Once again, I wish to underscore our support for President Trump’s vision and efforts to promote peace and stability around the world, including in our region. We also share common values, such as the importance of family traditions, and remain hopeful that U.S.-Azerbaijan relations will reach a new level during his Presidency,” the Azerbaijani leader added. 

Earlier, on July 22, the US president shared a clip of President Ilham Aliyev's speach at the 3rd Global Media Forum in Shusha on his Truth Social page.
