Azerbaijan's president congratulates Finland on Independence Day
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has extended his warm congratulations to Finland on the occasion of the Nordic nation’s Independence Day.
In a message addressed to Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland, Aliyev expressed his personal congratulations and those of the Azerbaijani people, Caliber.Az reports.
“On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I sincerely congratulate you and your people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Finland – Independence Day,” the letter reads.
President Aliyev highlighted the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing hope that cooperation would continue to flourish.
“I believe that the relations between our countries will continue to develop in an atmosphere of friendship and cooperation to the benefit of our peoples,” he stated.
Concluding his message, Aliyev conveyed his best wishes for peace and prosperity to the Finnish people.
“On this festive day, I convey my best wishes to you, and wish everlasting peace and prosperity to your people,” he wrote.
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry also congratulated Finland on the occasion of the National Day.
"We express our heartfelt congratulations to Finland on the occasion of the National Day and convey our best wishes to its People and the Government. Happy National Day, Finland!"
