Azerbaijani president, Turkmen leader visit Sea Breeze resort on Caspian coast PHOTO

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Sea Breeze resort, located along the Caspian Sea coast.

During the visit on July 16, Emin Agalarov, founder of Sea Breeze, briefed the Azerbaijani President and the Turkmen leader on completed and upcoming projects at the resort, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Situated just 30 minutes from the center of Baku, Sea Breeze is considered a unique global development that combines various types of real estate, with its main infrastructure concentrated along the coastline.

The resort spans 500 hectares and has already completed and commissioned more than 3 million square meters of residential and commercial real estate. To date, over 500 buildings have been constructed, housing more than 20,000 residents. This number is expected to exceed 50,000 by 2028, with the long-term vision aiming to accommodate up to 500,000 people. Plans for the future also include the construction of a crescent-shaped artificial peninsula covering 50 hectares.

More than 150 hectares have been allocated for recreational zones, parks, and beaches. To support comfortable living and leisure, the resort includes essential infrastructure such as a school, kindergarten, and hospital. Additionally, extensive landscaping efforts have led to the planting of approximately 10 million plants and trees, expanding green areas to 300 hectares.

Currently, Sea Breeze employs 6,560 people, with plans to significantly increase this number as development progresses.  Total investment has reached $3 billion, with over $10 billion more planned over the next five years.
