France, Belgium condemn Iranian attack on Israel
14 April 2024 14:07
The foreign ministers of France and Belgium said on Sunday their countries condemned Iran's strikes on Israel, Interfax reports.
"By deciding to take such an unprecedented action, Iran is reaching a new level in its destabilizing actions and poses a risk of military escalation," French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejournet wrote on Web X.
He added that France "reaffirms its commitment to Israel's security and assures Israel of its solidarity."
In a post also on network X, Belgian Foreign Minister Adja Labib said she strongly condemned Iran's attack on Israel.
"This is a serious escalation and a threat to regional stability. This attack endangers the population and distances us even further from peace," the Belgian minister wrote.
