Lithuania delivers new military aid package to Ukraine
On September 28, the Lithuanian Defence Ministry announced the provision of a new military aid package to Ukraine.
The package includes ammunition, laptops, and other logistical support for the Ukrainian army, Caliber.Az reports via Ukrainian media.
This year, Lithuania has supplied Ukraine with a range of military equipment, including 155-mm ammunition, RICE-1 remote detonation systems, M113 armoured vehicles, loaders, M577 armoured vehicles, warm clothing kits, anti-drone systems, Carl Gustav anti-tank grenade launchers, and generators.
The Lithuanian Defence Ministry emphasized, “Our support is unwavering, our determination is clear: Ukraine will win because freedom always wins. Together - to victory.”
Since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine has received military aid from Lithuania valued at over 683 million euros. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda previously indicated that the country is exploring options to procure short-range air defence systems for Ukraine and supports the idea of Ukraine being allowed to conduct long-range strikes against Russian military targets without restrictions.
The Baltic States, including Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, continue to be among Ukraine's most committed partners, providing ongoing military assistance and advocating for Ukraine's integration into the EU and NATO. Recently, it was announced that Lithuania would transfer a thermal power plant, specifically the Vilnius Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHPP), to Ukraine, which is currently being dismantled for transfer in parts.
