27 August 2026 11:30
On the evening of August 26, several thousand residents of Ceuta held protests against the large number of migrants in the city. The main demonstration began in the city centre, after which participants marched toward the Spanish government building.
During the protest, demonstrators chanted slogans against African migrants and the government of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. Speaking to reporters, some protesters also criticised the Moroccan authorities, suggesting that they bear responsibility for the migration crisis in the autonomous city.
