Heydar Aliyev Foundation sends humanitarian aid to quake-torn zones in Türkiye
Upon the instructions of the First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, a special plane with humanitarian aid has been sent to Türkiye for the victims of the earthquake, which caused numerous casualties and destruction in the brotherly country.
The Heydar Aliyev Foundation sent 36 tons of humanitarian aid to people affected by the earthquake, including medicines, oxygen masks, water filtration systems, warm clothes, and other medical supplies, according to Azertag.
In an interview with journalists at the airport, Elvin Aslanov, a representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, said that the foundation's employees sent to the earthquake zone would deliver humanitarian aid to the disaster areas in Türkiye.
At the same time, the Regional Development Public Association of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation launched a humanitarian aid campaign in support of the fraternal country, responding to the call of the Turkish Embassy in Baku to the citizens of Azerbaijan to provide humanitarian assistance to the region in the disaster zone.
The aid campaign will run until February 14.
During the campaign, the volunteers of the Regional Development Association will accept from citizens essential items for the victims of the devastating earthquake and, after packing, will deliver the humanitarian cargo to the quake-hit Türkiye.
