Israel reports normal air traffic with Türkiye despite Ankara’s announcement
Following Türkiye’s declaration that it is closing its airspace to Israeli aircraft, the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed that flights between the two countries are continuing as usual.
According to Cursorinfo, the authority emphasised that Israeli planes remain in constant coordination with Turkish aviation officials.
“Closing the airspace to Israeli flights is not simple,” the statement noted, adding that crews are maintaining regular communication with air traffic controllers, monitoring incoming updates, and continuing to follow standard flight routes.
The authority stressed that the situation is under control, with no immediate need to alter flight schedules.
“Thus, despite statements about possible restrictions, air traffic is operating normally,” the report said.
Earlier, Türkiye announced that it was severing economic and trade ties with Israel and closing its airspace, with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan describing the measures as “unprecedented.”
