Israeli delegation leaves for Paris for hostage talks
An Israeli delegation has travelled to Paris to discuss releasing the Gaza hostages.
According to Kan, the delegation is headed by the chief of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, David Barnea, and the head of the Israeli security service (Shabak), Ronen Bar. In France, the delegation will also meet with the head of the American CIA, William Burns.
According to reports, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamel will also attend the meeting. They flew to France on a private business jet owned by an Israeli businessman.
Kan notes that the talks could lead to an agreement to transfer residents from southern Gaza to the north. According to the radio station, efforts have been made in recent weeks by Qatar, Egypt and the US to promote this arrangement.
