Israeli premier to address nation

The Israeli Likud and Mahane Mamlakhti working groups have agreed to create a government of emergency.

At the moment, the parties are finishing formulating the details of the agreement, NEWSru.co.il reports.

Keshet TV channel journalist Amit Segal said that a decision has been made to create a security cabinet, which will include Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, opposition party leader Benny Gantz and Defence Minister Yoav Gallant. Israeli Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer and MP Gadi Eisenkot will receive observer status.

Besides Gantz and Eisenkot, head of Tikva Hadasha Gideon Saar, as well as two more MPs from Mahane Mamlakhti, will also become ministers.

The classic military-political cabinet will still have the main decision-making powers. The composition is unknown.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will address the nation on October 11 evening.
