Lavrov, Rubio expected to meet in New York on September 23

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio are expected to meet in New York on September 23, a senior Russian Foreign Ministry official told TASS.

The meeting is expected to take place on the sidelines of the high-level week of the United Nations General Assembly, as Washington continues efforts to help broker an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The talks are expected to come as US President Donald Trump prepares to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later on September 23.
