Luxembourg’s prime minister to attend COP29 PHOTO
On July 18, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, based on an appeal from the opposite side, met in Oxford with the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Luc Frieden.
Bilateral relations between our countries were discussed at the meeting, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
The Prime Minister of Luxembourg once again emphasized the importance of obtaining more information about Azerbaijan and the region, as well as stability in the region for his country. He brought to attention that Luxembourg's regional policy is balanced.
Having informed about regional processes, the President of Azerbaijan noted the importance of a balanced policy towards the region and a respectful approach to the position of all parties.
At the meeting, bilateral relations between our countries were touched upon, and the existence of great prospects for the development of ties based on mutual respect and trust was emphasized.
An exchange of views took place on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Luxembourg in the field of high technology, healthcare, investment, transport and other areas.
During the conversation, it was noted that Azerbaijan has very close relations with the European Union and EU member countries. The importance of the European Political Community platform for discussions was emphasized.
The importance of holding COP29 in Azerbaijan was emphasized at the meeting.
The Prime Minister of Luxembourg made it known that he intends to take part in this event.
