Ministry: Israeli strikes claim more lives in Gaza
Gaza’s Health Ministry has said that more than 50 Palestinians lost their lives within a single day in the Gaza Strip due to attacks and bombings by Israeli forces across various regions of the besieged enclave.
In the past 24 hours, 55 individuals have fallen victim to the aggression of the Israeli army, with 186 others injured, the ministry said, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The ministry also reported that since the beginning of Israel's military operation in Gaza, the death toll has reached 43,259, while 101,827 Palestinians have been injured.
Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7, 2023 after militants from the Gaza Strip-based radical Palestinian group Hamas launched a surprise incursion on Israeli territory, killing many Israeli kibbutz residents living near the Gaza border and abducting more than 240 Israelis, including women, children and the elderly. Israel declared a total blockade of the Gaza Strip and launched bombardments of the enclave and some areas in Lebanon and Syria, as well as a ground operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Clashes are also reported in the West Bank.
