Pakistan condemns Iran’s attacks, reaffirms support for Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received a phone call from Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today, during which the two leaders discussed the recent Iranian military attacks and terrorist acts targeting Azerbaijan.
The Pakistani prime minister expressed his condemnation of Iran’s military attack and terrorist acts against Azerbaijan and stated that, in this difficult time, the Pakistani state and army stand with the Azerbaijani state and army. He affirmed that Azerbaijan can always rely on Pakistan. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also emphasised that the friendship and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Pakistan will continue, Caliber.Az reports, citing state media.
The Azerbaijani president expressed gratitude for the support and solidarity shown. President Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan will always defend the just cause of brotherly Pakistan. He noted that Pakistan’s strong condemnation of Iran’s attacks underscores the enduring friendship between Baku and Islamabad.
President Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Pakistan emphasised that in both good and difficult times, the two countries are always by each other’s side and ready to provide any mutual support.
