President Aliyev: Bilateral ties with Belarus will keep growing in all directions
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of Belarus’ national holiday — Independence Day.
As reported by Caliber.Az, the message from the head of state was published on the official website of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In his letter, President Aliyev extended heartfelt congratulations to both his Belarusian counterpart and the people of Belarus.
“Esteemed Aleksandr Grigoryevich,
On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and myself, I cordially congratulate you and, through you, all the friendly people of Belarus on the national holiday — Independence Day,” President Aliyev wrote.
Emphasizing the traditionally close ties between the two nations, the Azerbaijani leader praised the strong foundation of friendship and mutual support that underpins relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus.
“Azerbaijan and Belarus are bound by traditionally close relations of friendship and mutual support. I am pleased to note the high dynamics of cooperation between our countries, which is enriched with new content every year,” the letter continued.
President Aliyev highlighted the achievements made in developing interstate dialogue, strengthening economic ties, and expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
“It is gratifying that we have achieved a good level in developing interstate dialogue, strengthening trade and economic cooperation, and intensifying cultural and humanitarian ties,” he stated.
Looking ahead, the Azerbaijani leader expressed his firm belief in the continued deepening of the strategic partnership between Baku and Minsk.
“I am convinced that through our joint efforts, bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus will continue to dynamically expand and deepen in all directions, in the spirit of strategic partnership for the benefit of our friendly peoples and countries,” Aliyev noted.
Concluding his message, President Aliyev conveyed his personal good wishes to President Lukashenko and the people of Belarus.
“On this momentous day, I wish you, dear Alexander Grigoryevich, robust health, happiness, and success in your state activities, and the Republic of Belarus — well-being and prosperity,” the letter concluded.
