President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has said that "today, Azerbaijan is recognized as a strong sports power in the world".

The head of state made the remarks on August 9 at a meeting with athletes representing Azerbaijan at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in the Turkish city of Konya, Report informs.
