President Ilham Aliyev views construction progress of Zangilan Convention Centre PHOTO

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has viewed the construction progress of the Zangilan Convention Centre.

Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, part of the East Zangazur economic region, Vahid Hajiyev informed the head of state of the works done, Azertag reports.

The projected area of the 605-seat Convention Center is 2.2 hectares. A 240-seat restaurant will be built here.

Ilham Aliyev also attended a groundbreaking ceremony for the administrative building in the city of Zangilan.

The head of state was informed of the project.

The building will house training and meeting rooms as well as multipurpose workspace for local divisions of state and governmental organizations.

After getting acquainted with the project, President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the administrative building.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has also viewed the progress of construction at the “Sarigishlag” hydroelectric power station owned by “Azerenergy” OJSC in the Zangilan district.

President of “Azerenergy” OJSC Baba Rzayev briefed the head of state on the work done in the station.

The hydroelectric power station is scheduled to generate an average of 26.7 million kWh of electricity annually.

The station will have a 110 kV open distribution facility and energy grid integration and control systems.

The head of state was informed about the hydroelectric power stations being constructed in the districts of Zangilan, Lachin, and Kalbajar.

The number of hydroelectric power stations with a capacity of some 200 megawatt will reach 25 in the liberated lands after the great Victory.

A groundbreaking ceremony has been held for the hotel complex in Zangilan.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the ceremony.

Head of the President’s Administrative Services Department Ramin Guluzade informed the head of state about the project of the complex.

The hotel complex will offer all conditions for the comfortable rest of visitors. It will feature 110 suits, conference and banquet halls, a restaurant and an entertainment zone for kids, indoor and outdoor pools, as well as 15 cottages.

President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the hotel complex.

Azerbaijani leader participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Zangilan District Central Hospital.

The head of state was informed of the project of the hospital building.

The hospital occupies a total area of 4.5 hectares. The 91-bed hospital will be fitted with the most modern medical equipment.

President Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the Zangilan District Central Hospital.

The ceremony of the laying of the foundation stone for the village of Jahangirbayli of the Zangilan district has been held with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

The video of the village development plan was screened first.

The head of state was informed about the work to be done in the village.

The projected area of the village is 179.5 hectares. The village is scheduled to accommodate 2520 people (573 families) in the long run. The first phase will see the construction of a total of 242 houses for 1200 residents.

The facilities at the village will include a school, kindergarten, administrative building, community club, guest house, multipurpose building, etc.
