Erdoğan in Khankendi: Türkiye will always stand by brotherly Azerbaijan Azerbaijani, Turkish presidents reaffirm unbreakable alliance

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reaffirmed his country's support for Azerbaijan as he met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Khankendi on July 4.

President Erdoğan noted that the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), hosted in Khankendi, was conducted at a high level, commending the organization and significance of the event, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

President Aliyev expressed his sincere gratitude to his Turkish counterpart for participating in the summit, noting the importance of President Erdoğan’s presence as a demonstration of solidarity and support.

During their conversation, both leaders reiterated the successful development of strategic alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across all sectors. The Turkish President reiterated Ankara’s unwavering support for Baku, saying brotherly Türkiye will always stand by brotherly Azerbaijan in every issue. Erdoğan added that this has always been the case and will continue to be the case.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his appreciation for Erdoğan’s remarks, emphasizing in return that Azerbaijan stands firmly by Türkiye, both in times of celebration and during challenging moments.

The presidents also exchanged views on the future prospects of bilateral cooperation and discussed issues of mutual interest, underlining the deep-rooted partnership and shared vision for regional peace, stability, and development.
