Prosecutor General's Office files criminal case over injury of Azerbaijani serviceman
A criminal case has been opened over the wounding of a soldier of the Azerbaijani army as a result of a shooting by Armenia.
Gubadli Military Prosecutor's Office received information about the wounding of a soldier of military unit N of the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry Abdullayev Huseyn Arif oglu as a result of firing from Armenia, the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office told Caliber.Az.
The Gubadli Military Prosecutor's Office launched a criminal prosecution based on this fact under Article 29, 120.2.12 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At present, the investigation is ongoing, all measures will be ensured in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and generally accepted norms and principles of international law.
To recap, a serviceman of the Azerbaijani army was injured around 16:00 on July 11 as Armenian armed forces fired from their positions located in the direction of the Digh settlement of the Gorus district to the opposite positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the Lachin district.
