Rocket fired from Syria explodes over Jordan
A Jordanian official military source has reported a rocket explosion in the sky of the Wadi Aqraba area in the northern part of Jordan bordering Syria.
The explosion occurred on April 8 evening, the Jordan news agency Petra reports, citing the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-the Arab Army (JAF).
Parts of the rocket fell, however, no injuries or damage to properties were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
Specialist teams from the Royal Engineering Corps have been deployed to deal with the accident site and reveal any further details.
JAF is continuing to monitor any developments in the situation in the region, the source noted.
JAF has urged the public not to circulate rumours that could cause unnecessary concerns in society without referring to credible sources of information.
