Russia may impose new restrictions on food imports from Armenia
05 June 2026 19:14
A decision on potential restrictions on Armenian food imports to Russia will depend on product quality, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev has stated.
Speaking on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, he said Armenia accounts for a small share of Russia’s food imports, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“Depending on the quality of the products, restrictions will either be introduced or not imposed,” he noted.
Russia has already introduced temporary restrictions on several categories of agricultural products from Armenia since late May, including flowers, vegetables, fruits, and other produce.
