Russia extends diesel fuel export ban through September

The Russian government has signed a decree extending a ban on exports of diesel fuel, marine fuel and gasoil shipped directly from Russia by their producers.

The restriction will remain in force through September 30, 2026, inclusive. The government press service said the decision was taken to maintain stability in the domestic fuel market.

A broader ban on fuel exports remains in effect in Russia through January 31, 2027. However, the restriction covering direct producers of diesel fuel, marine fuel and gasoil had previously been due to expire on August 31.
