Telegram team reacts to Durov's arrest for first time

The Telegram team reacted for the first time to the detention of Pavel Durov in France and said that he had nothing to hide, according to the official Telegram channel of the messenger.

"Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has nothing to hide, he often travels around Europe. It is absurd to claim that the platform or its owner is responsible for abusing it," the channel said, Caliber.Az reports.

The post emphasised that Telegram complies with EU laws, including the Digital Services Act (DSA), which provides strict rules against misinformation and illegal content.

The team added that it is waiting for the situation with Durov's detention in Paris to be resolved.
