Türkiye unveils cutting-edge AZAT FPV kamikaze drone VIDEO
Türkiye's defence industry has commenced mass production of the AZAT FPV kamikaze drone, presenting the advanced UAV to delegations from four countries during field trials.
The AZAT FPV drone uses a first-person view (FPV) system, allowing operators to control the drone through real-time video streamed via goggles or a virtual reality monitor, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
This enables precise manoeuvrability and the ability to navigate obstacles easily in various battlefield conditions.
Developed by Robit Technology, the AZAT FPV has been optimized for mass production following extensive work on kamikaze drone technology. This silent drone boasts a range of up to 4 kilometres, with a flight duration of 15 minutes. Its interchangeable antennas make it adaptable to different conditions, while its flight control software, developed using domestic resources, ensures mission success without the need for GPS.
The AZAT FPV features a triple protective shield and remains operational even if the data link is lost, as the operator can still monitor it using goggles. The drone also incorporates artificial intelligence, allowing it to autonomously attack a pre-selected target or self-destruct if the target is not identified.
The AZAT FPV will be available in multiple versions, capable of carrying payloads of 500, 750, and 1000 grams, broadening its tactical applications.
