Ukraine reports over 30 combat clashes with Russia over past day

Over 30 military clashes took place between the Ukrainian Defence Forces and Russian troops on August 8.

"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 4 missile and 53 air strikes, made 86 shelling from multiple rocket launchers on the positions of our troops and settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and wounded, and residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed,” the Ukrainian General Staff said in its operational summary of combat operations, Ukrainska Pravda writes.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

The aviation of the defence forces over the past day carried out 10 strikes on areas where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated.

“Rocket troops and artillery units hit 2 control points, 5 artillery means on firing positions, ammunition and 2 electronic warfare stations of the enemy," the report said.
