US President Joseph Biden has discussed the Palestinian-Israeli conflict during telephone conversations with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
The leaders focused on the ongoing conflict between the terrorist organisation Hamas and Israel, TASS reports, citing the press service of the White House.
On the morning of 7 October, from the Gaza Strip began rocket fire at Israel, at the same time groups of Hamas militants penetrated into the territory of the Jewish state, where the Israeli military entered into battle with them. The army declared a "state of readiness for war" and soon announced the start of the "Iron Swords" retaliatory operation, which continues to this day.
