West starting to “moan” over Russia’s tougher measures, Russian FM says

Moscow will step up its efforts to destroy what the West uses to “fuel the machine of military support” for Kyiv, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said, noting that they are already starting to moan.

In an interview with VGTRK, he remarked that Moscow would “not stoop” to Kyiv’s methods, but would make its own methods much tougher, Caliber.Az reports.

“It is no coincidence that more and more voices from different parts of our common space are calling for an immediate halt. That will not work. We must stop when there is a long-term, reliable and sustainable settlement,” he added.

According to him, if Russia were to suddenly stop along the line of contact now, it would, in essence, allow the feat of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who defeated Nazism, to be crossed out.

“This cannot be considered. And it is not only about how comfortable someone lives today — our people are suffering, and people are dying from these terrorist attacks. It is about our responsibility for the thousand-year history of the Russian state,” Russian FM stressed.
