Mass killings and deportation of Azerbaijanis from modern-day Armenia Timeline by Caliber.Az

Since the early 1900s, the demographic composition in the historical Azerbaijani lands, including Iravan (modern-day Yerevan), Zangezur (modern-day Syunik), Karabakh, and others were dramatically changed.

It was due to the mass killings and deportation of Azerbaijanis by Armenians. The overwhelming majority of Azerbaijanis significantly decreased as a result of deliberate ethnic cleansing campaign, leading to the incorportation of the historical Azerbaijani lands, i.e. Western Azerbaijan, into the newly-established Armenian state.
