Marine Le Pen raps Macron's authorization of French weapons against Russia

Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Union party, criticized Emmanuel Macron's decision to authorize the use of French weapons for strikes on Russian territory, calling it a step towards dragging Paris into a war with Moscow.

According to Gazeta.ru, her remarks were quoted by France Info.

"After Macron's statements about sending in the military, this announcement [of authorization to strike Russia] will be an additional step to fuel this conflict. I am beginning to think that Macron wants France to take a full part in this war," Le Pen said.

She warned that this development poses a danger to ordinary French citizens and the country's territorial integrity. While she supports supplying defensive weapons to Kyiv, she opposes their use outside Ukraine, as it brings the prospect of a new world war closer.

Le Pen stressed that the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv cannot be resolved on the battlefield, urging the need to seek avenues for peace talks. She expressed regret that France is not pursuing diplomatic solutions.
