Hezbollah launches missile attack on IDF aircraft

A surface-to-air missile was launched at an Israeli military aircraft that violated Lebanese airspace.

"A surface-to-air missile was fired at an enemy Israeli warplane that violated Lebanese airspace at midnight," Anadolu reports, citing a statement by Hezbollah.

It was noted that the aircraft had to return after failing to fulfil its mission.

On June 10, Israeli fighter jets struck military buildings and facilities of the Lebanese movement Hezbollah in Lebanon.

"The fighter jets struck a Hezbollah military structure in the Shebaa area. Simultaneously, the airstrikes hit two other military structures in the Aitaroun and Markaba areas, as well as terrorist infrastructure in the Aitaroun area and a Hezbollah rocket launcher in the Et Tiri area, which was used to fire at Israeli territory," as follows from the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) press service's statement.

The military also stressed that it "spotted terrorists entering a Hezbollah military structure in the Hula area in southern Lebanon," after which "IDF fighter jets struck the structure".
