Israeli air strikes hit Hezbollah outposts in response to rocket fire

Israeli Air Force planes struck positions of the Shiite organisation Hezbollah in South Lebanon.

The reason for the attack was a rocket attack on the Upper Galilee, Caliber.Az reports, citing Lebanese media sources.

One of the strikes hit an outpost of the organisation in the vicinity of the village of Markaba, from where they had previously fired on the settlements of Beit Hillel, Kiryat Shmona, Metula and Margaliot in northern Israel. No word on the impact of the air strike.

In the morning, Hezbollah units struck mechanised patrols of Israeli soldiers in the Hadeb-Yarun border area with guided missiles. The Israelis allegedly suffered casualties in manpower and equipment. A radar station and technical equipment installed at the Israeli command and observation post in Ramiyah were also disabled.
