Azerbaijan, China discuss cooperation in renewable energy

Azerbaijan and China have held discussions on the development of cooperation in the field of renewable energy and joint activities with Chinese companies within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

The discussions were held during the meeting of Minister Parviz Shahbazov with the delegation headed by Chairman of China Energy Engineering Group Co.Ltd Song Hailiang, which also includes Chairman of the Board of China Energy International Group Co.Ltd Liu Jiexiang, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.

Information was provided on projects implemented by China Energy Engineering Group Co. Ltd and it was noted that Chinese companies are interested in participating in large-scale projects to realise the huge potential of renewable energy in Azerbaijan.
