Leading Turkish companies explore Azerbaijan’s tourism potential PHOTO
A delegation of leading Turkish tourism companies has embarked on a business mission to Azerbaijan, aiming to explore the country’s growing tourism potential, particularly in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The visit, which was announced by the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, saw representatives from six prominent Turkish firms engaging with local tourism businesses, Caliber.Az reports.
They were introduced to Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, and emerging tourism opportunities.
During their trip, the Turkish delegates held B2B meetings with around 20 local companies to discuss potential collaboration and the future of the tourism sector in Azerbaijan. The discussions focused on ways to boost tourism links between the two countries.
The visit comes at a time of increasing tourism between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. According to recent figures, 389,173 Turkish citizens visited Azerbaijan between January and November 2024, marking a 14% rise compared to the same period last year.
This surge in travel highlights the growing appeal of Azerbaijan as a destination for Turkish tourists.
