CICA chief calls for stronger port cooperation across Asia

The Secretariat of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) is ready to facilitate communication and information exchange among interested member states and support the implementation of recommendations adopted at an international conference in Baku, CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay said.

Speaking at the conference, titled "The Role of Ports in Regional Connectivity and Strategic Cooperation" held in Baku, Sarybay said the Secretariat would provide assistance within its mandate and available resources, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

“We hope that today’s discussion will lead to the establishment of sustainable professional contacts, the holding of technical meetings, and the launch of future initiatives at the initiative of interested member states,” Sarybay emphasized.

“I am confident that this conference can deliver practical results and lay a stronger foundation for cooperation across the entire CICA region,” he added.
