Azerbaijan, Iran discuss bilateral ties, joint energy projects PHOTO
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev held a series of meetings with senior Iranian officials during a visit to Iran, focusing on bilateral relations, joint projects and energy cooperation, Azerbaijan’s Cabinet of Ministers said.
During the meetings, officials highlighted the positive impact of the cordial relations between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Iran on the development of bilateral ties and the accelerated implementation of joint projects, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Mustafayev met with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, with the sides emphasising the role of parliaments in advancing joint initiatives and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The Azerbaijani delegation also held talks with Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, to discuss current issues on the bilateral agenda.
During the visit, Mustafayev’s delegation met with Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad and Energy Minister Abbas Aliabadi. The sides reviewed projects considered important to the economies of both countries and discussed prospects for further cooperation.
