DCO Secretary General announces upcoming visit to Azerbaijan
Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO) Secretary General Deemah AlYahya has announced plans to visit Azerbaijan, following a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mutallim Mirzayev.
“A warm conversation in Riyadh, and an exciting journey to Azerbaijan just around the corner. Pleased to reconnect with H.E. Mutallim Mirzayev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, ahead of my upcoming visit,” she said in a post on X.

AlYahya also highlighted that, according to the Digital Economy Navigator, Azerbaijan’s digital development is impressive, particularly its high level of adoption of digital technologies for social inclusion, which stands at 83.4%.
“I’m looking forward to experiencing this progress firsthand and building on our cooperation as Azerbaijan moves closer to joining the DCO family,” she added.
Founded in November 2020, the DCO is a global multilateral organisation focused on accelerating inclusive digital economy growth and ensuring digital well-being for all.
On September 1, 2026, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport announced that the country had become a member of the DCO.
