Azerbaijan, AIIB focus on support for green energy development
Azerbaijan and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) have exchanged views on the bank's support for promoting green energy.
Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said in a post on X that the talks took place during his meeting with AIIB President Zou Jiayi on the sidelines of the bank's 11th Annual Meeting in Doha, Qatar, Caliber.Az reports.
He made clear that Azerbaijan attached importance to its partnership with the bank, of which the country is a co-founder.
“The exchange covered the Bank’s role in supporting infrastructure development, sustainable growth, the green transition, and renewable energy across its member countries. We also explored opportunities to expand cooperation on projects aimed at supporting economic growth, developing sustainable infrastructure, and strengthening connectivity across Asia,” he wrote.
