Azerbaijan to host Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank annual meeting

Azerbaijan will host the 12th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in 2027, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said.

Jabbarov said on X that Azerbaijan had been selected as the host during the AIIB’s 11th Annual Meeting in Doha, where a ceremony was held to mark the decision by the bank’s Board of Governors, Caliber.Az reports. 

He expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in Azerbaijan, saying the decision reflected the country’s strong partnership with AIIB and its active role in international financial and investment platforms.

According to Jabbarov, hosting the event will help expand Azerbaijan’s cooperation with international financial institutions, create new investment opportunities and support sustainable economic development.
