Azerbaijan presents its logistics potential in Qatar, minister says

Azerbaijan’s transport and logistics potential was presented at a seminar held as part of the 11th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) in Doha, Qatar, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has stated.

Sharing a post on X, he said the seminar participants discussed Azerbaijan’s transition towards a green economy, Caliber.Az reports.

“The discussion focused on the development of green and resilient infrastructure, the expansion of transport and energy corridors, the application of advanced technologies, and the mobilization of private investment. We highlighted Azerbaijan’s transition towards a green economy, development projects being implemented in the liberated territories, and opportunities for expanding cooperation on transport and logistics projects,” he wrote.

In his words, Azerbaijan and Qatar had also focused on promoting mutual investment, prospects for new projects and strengthening private-sector partnerships.

“On the sidelines of the 11th Annual Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Doha, we met with Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance of the State of Qatar. The strong political will of the Heads of State and the relations of friendship and mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Qatar provide a solid foundation for further expanding economic and #investment cooperation. The exchange covered opportunities to promote mutual investment, implement new joint projects, strengthen partnerships between the private sectors of our countries, and deepen cooperation in the financial and investment spheres,” the minister added.

Jabbarov noted that the sides also exchanged views on opportunities to deepen cooperation in the financial and investment sectors.
