Azerbaijan, European Commission discuss future projects in Nakhchivan PHOTO

A delegation from the European Commission (EC), headed by Adrienn Kiraly, Director for Eastern Neighbourhood and Türkiye at the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood, has visited Nakhchivan.

According to Report news agency, a meeting was held on September 29 between Jeyhun Jalilov, the Azerbaijani President’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and the delegation led by Kiraly.

The meeting highlighted the successful development of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Commission, based on strategic partnership, friendship and mutual trust under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Kiraly underscored the importance of the visit and highlighted the significance of the information presented on the development of Nakhchivan’s transport, energy and economic potential.

The sides also discussed the economic aspects of projects planned by the European Commission for implementation in the coming years, as well as prospects for further cooperation.
