AIIF 2026 ends with 23 investment documents worth $10.8 billion
The Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum – AIIF 2026), held under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev, has concluded in Baku.
Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy told Azertag that 23 documents covering investment projects with a total value of $10.8 billion were signed with international investors and partner companies during the forum.
Held as part of a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Economy and The European House – Ambrosetti & TEHA Group, the forum brought together officials from various countries, global investors, representatives of international financial institutions, think tanks and business leaders.
The forum, held under the theme “Restoring Trust in a Fragmented World: The South Caucasus as a Pillar of Global Connectivity and Investment Stability,” featured a broad exchange of views on the global economic agenda, investment prospects and new opportunities for regional cooperation. Key topics included regional connectivity and Azerbaijan’s investment opportunities, the development prospects of the Middle Corridor, industrial and special economic zones, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, energy and the green transition, capital markets, agribusiness, critical raw materials and economic security. Azerbaijan’s potential to create new opportunities in investment, manufacturing, innovation and regional value chains was presented. The forum demonstrated an open, favourable and resilient economic environment for foreign investment in Azerbaijan, as well as the country’s position as a reliable partner in strategic projects.
The 23 documents signed with international investors and partner companies envisage investment projects worth a total of $10.8 billion. The documents cover areas including artificial intelligence, energy, including renewable energy, construction, the digital economy, industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, finance, water management and other sectors.
Including projects announced during Baku Energy Week, held in June this year, the total value of planned joint projects will reach $16.7 billion. This is described as clear evidence of growing investor confidence in Azerbaijan and the country’s increasing attractiveness as an investment destination. Investments on this scale are expected to contribute significantly to economic diversification, the introduction of new technologies and innovations, and increased value added and employment.
