Russian tourists stuck in Vietnam after flights to Moscow canceled VIDEO

Hundreds of Russian tourists have been left stranded in Vietnam after several flights from Hanoi to Moscow were canceled, with some passengers reportedly waiting at the airport for more than two days.

Passengers booked on Vietnam Airlines flight VN63 said that they were due to fly from Hanoi to Moscow on September 6. The flight was initially postponed for a day before being canceled due to what the airline described as “operational reasons.”

Passengers on another canceled flight, however, said Vietnam Airlines told them the service had been canceled because “Moscow issued a ban.”

“Passengers are now being taken back through immigration control into Vietnam. At the moment, Vietnam Airlines has not provided us with a confirmed route or a guaranteed date for returning to Russia,” the travelers said.

According to the passengers, dozens of other Russians remain stranded at the airport after being unable to leave Vietnam for Russia. Some have reportedly been waiting for more than 48 hours, while others have allegedly been unable to leave the airport premises.

The stranded travelers also said they had not been provided with food, water or hotel accommodation during the delays.
