Kazakhstan, German presidents discuss bilateral cooperation

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier have held talks in a restricted format, during which the sides discussed bilateral cooperation, Kazakh media reports.
The report said the Kazakh leader thanked Steinmeier for the reception and invitation to visit Germany.
Tokayev stressed that Germany is a key strategic partner for Kazakhstan in Europe, adding that bilateral cooperation is based on mutual trust, respect and shared interests.
In turn, President Frank-Walter Steinmeier said he highly valued Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s personal contribution to expanding multifaceted cooperation between Astana and Berlin.
