US statistical agency maintains 2026 Azerbaijan oil production forecast

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA), the official statistical and analytical agency of the US Department of Energy, has left unchanged its forecast for oil production in Azerbaijan for 2026.

The EIA’s September Short-Term Energy Outlook indicated that Azerbaijan’s oil production is expected to average 550,000 barrels per day (bpd) this year, in line with the previous month’s forecast, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Oil production is expected to stand at 540,000 bpd in the third and fourth quarters of 2026, also unchanged from the August forecast.

Oil production stood at 570,000 bpd in the first and second quarters of 2025 and at 560,000 bpd in the third and fourth quarters.

According to the EIA, Azerbaijan’s total liquids production amounted to 570,000 bpd in 2025.
