Azerbaijan intends to apply “smart city” model in liberated Fuzuli’s revival
Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Committee of Urban Planning and Architecture Ilgar Isbatov has said that the main goals in Fuzuli city’s planning include sustainable development and the creation of a “smart city” model.
A “blue zone” is planned to be established in the central part of the city, Report informs, citing Isbatov.
“This is a relatively new direction in urban planning. Specialists consider longevity indicators in cities, determine criteria and carry out planning on this basis. We can apply this approach in the central part of Fuzuli city,” he said.
The deputy chairman noted that the Fuzuli General Plan also includes the construction of a railway station and bus station.
“Besides the Victory road, the Fuzuli-Shusha railway line will run through Fuzuli,” he said.
