Foreign diplomats visit Khudavang monastery in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar PHOTO

Members of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan visited the historic Khudavang monastery complex in the Kalbajar district as part of a tour of the region.

The diplomats were given a guided tour of the monastery and briefed on its history and cultural significance, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Khudavang is regarded as the largest monastery complex in the region and is considered an important historical and cultural landmark.

The complex is included on Azerbaijan’s official list of immovable monuments of history and culture of global significance, approved by a 2001 resolution of the country’s Cabinet of Ministers.
