Foreign diplomats tour new Shusha Mosque construction site PHOTO
Representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan have inspected the construction of the new Shusha Mosque during a two-day visit to the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions.
The diplomats were briefed on the progress of construction work and the architectural features of the mosque’s design, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The delegation is also visiting a number of restoration and reconstruction projects being implemented across the region as part of the trip.
The foundation of the Shusha Mosque was laid on May 12, 2021, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The latest two-day visit by representatives of the diplomatic corps to Karabakh and East Zangazur began on September 11. The delegation comprises 150 representatives from 58 countries and nine international organisations.
