Diplomats from Muslim countries pray in Azerbaijan’s Shusha mosque PHOTO

Members of the diplomatic corps visiting Azerbaijan’s Karabakh and East Zangezur regions toured the historic Yukhari Govhar Aga Mosque in the city of Shusha.

The visiting diplomats were given a tour of the architectural monument and briefed on its history and cultural significance, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

Diplomats from Muslim-majority countries also performed prayers at the mosque during their visit.

The latest two-day visit by representatives of the diplomatic corps to Karabakh and East Zangezur began on September 11. The delegation comprises 150 representatives from 58 countries and nine international organisations.
