Azerbaijan, Germany seek stronger cooperation on climate, environment PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s Representative of the President on Climate Issues and COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev has met Dirk Lölke, the newly appointed German ambassador to Azerbaijan, to discuss cooperation on climate and environmental issues.

Babayev said the meeting focused on opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation in these areas, as well as continued engagement on the global climate agenda.

The two sides also stressed the importance of stronger international cooperation to accelerate the implementation of climate commitments and deliver tangible progress, Babayev said in a post on X.
