Azerbaijan's Lachin, Ukraine's Irpin to become twin cities

Work is underway to establish twinning ties between the Ukrainian city of Irpin and the Azerbaijani city of Lachin.

"We are working on establishing a partnership between the Azerbaijani city of Lachin and Irpen. Relevant work is already underway with the appropriate structures of Azerbaijan and Ukraine," Azertag reports, citing the Mayor'sOffice of the city of Irpen.

The Mayor's Office notes that future twinning relations between the two cities will give impetus to strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine confirmed to Azertag the implementation of works on establishing twinning between the cities of Lachin and Irpin.
